Charles Kassar, 21, was arrested Oct. 13 at his Bozeman residence in the 1300 block of Opportunity Way. He is jailed at the Gallatin County Detention Center with bond set at $750,000.
Investigators allege Kassar communicated online with a 14-year-old girl from Billings and later met with her there on multiple occasions. They say he purchased a Greyhound ticket for the girl on Oct. 8, then met her after she arrived in Bozeman.
Charges Filed
Authorities allege Kassar brought the girl to his home and kept her there against her wishes for five days. He has been charged with custodial interference, aggravated sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated kidnapping, and grooming a child for a sexual offense.
Detectives are examining whether any other potential victims may be tied to the case.
Hearing Set
Kassar is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 8 a.m. on Oct. 30.
