Governor Greg Gianforte and the Montana Chamber of Commerce will host the third annual Big Sky, Bright Future Economic Summit on Thursday, October 15, in Bozeman. The event centers on technology innovation within the state.

Focus on Tech Growth

The summit addresses several key areas driving Montana’s economy. Panelists will discuss national security, the integration of artificial intelligence into traditional industries such as precision agriculture, photonics, data centers, and online safety.

Todd O’Hair, president and CEO of the Montana Chamber of Commerce, noted the sector’s expanding role in the state’s financial landscape. “The tech sector is the fastest growing business sector in Montana representing 5% of our GDP,” O’Hair said.

Speakers and Registration

The agenda features top executives and policymakers. Confirmed speakers include U.S. Rep. Troy Downing, Montana State University President Brock Tessman, and state Sen. Daniel Zolnikov (R-Billings). Representatives from the governor’s cabinet will also participate in the discussions.

Gov. Gianforte emphasized the importance of the industry for long-term prosperity. “Montana’s technology sector is helping drive our state’s economic future,” he said.
