Montana’s voter turnout stood at 59.1% Wednesday afternoon as counties continued counting ballots. The figure remained unofficial, with about 478,035 ballots counted statewide.

About 77% of precincts had reported. Flathead, Missoula, Gallatin and Yellowstone counties had not yet reported all precincts, and the statewide turnout figure was expected to change as additional results came in.

Montana had more than 808,879 registered voters statewide. The current count can be compared with final turnout figures of 61.4% in the 2022 midterm election, 71.5% in 2018, 55.4% in 2014 and 56.4% in 2010.

Statewide turnout was 76.6% in 2024, 81.3% in 2020 and 74.4% in 2016.
